Mark Duda is a founding member of Distributed Energy Partners where he manages the company’s relationships with its energy finance partners. Mark is also President of the Hawaii Solar Energy Association, leading the organization’s legislative agenda, and its regulatory activities in proceedings on Feed-in Tariffs, Utility Decoupling, Advanced Metering/Time-of-Use Rates, and Net Energy Metering, among others. Mark is also a Board Member of the Hawaii PV Coalition,  Co-Chair of the Renewable Energy Working Group of the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum, a member of the Steering Committee for Energy Efficiency of the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative, and the Hawaii’s Steering Committee for Renewable Energy Workforce Development. In each of these roles he works to expand the supply of renewable energy in Hawaii. Prior to forming Distributed Energy Partners Mark was a principal at Suntech Hawaii.  Prior to joining Suntech Hawaii Mark worked as a consultant specializing in housing and mortgage market issues, and as a Research Analyst at Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies.



Josh Powell

Josh Powell is a Partner with Distributed Energy Partners, leading the construction operations of the design/build renewable energy services firm.  Josh is responsible for all aspects of the construction phase of DEP’s renewable energy projects. He has successfully completed more than 4 Megawatts of Photovoltaic projects.

Before joining Distributed Energy Partners, Josh served as Vice President of Construction Operations for the state’s largest locally owned renewable energy firm. Here he was responsible for all construction operations and logistics, from project award to completion. Previously, Josh successfully started and operated a design and construction consultancy focused on military privatization projects. He also served as a construction manager for Actus Lend Lease, and as a Naval Officer in the Civil Engineer Corps. In the last decade, Josh has been involved in the direct design, procurement and execution of more than $350 million in construction value.



Rod Braunthal

A Partner with Distributed Energy Partners, Rod Braunthal holds well over a decade of management experience and 20 years in the construction design industry.  At Distributed Energy Partners, Rod directs the design and development of custom energy systems for it's renewable energy commercial clients. Rod also oversees the completion of all documentation required for installation and permitting of the firm's commercial renewable energy projects, to ensure Net Energy Metering Agreements are inline with the Utility's requirements and approved on time.
 
Rod previously worked as the Design Manager for Suntech Hawaii, managing all aspects of the design process and permitting process. Rod also coordinated and managed the construction documentation with various consulting engineers.  Before this, Rod served in various executive level capacities in both the high-tech and construction design sectors.

Rod holds a number of photovoltaic design certifications and is active in a number of industry organizations.

Todd Georgopapadakos is a founding member of Distributed Energy Partners where he manages the company’s business development activities. Prior to that, Todd was a partner at Suntech Hawaii in charge of the company’s strategic growth plan. In this role he grew the company’s sales from $3 to $30 million in a single year.  Under his leadership the company became the largest solar integrator in the state, capturing a share of the PV market in excess of 25 percent. Todd has worked for more than twenty years in the construction and high technology industries in Hawaii. As a construction project manager he specialized in large-scale public works projects for the State of Hawaii, the City and County of Honolulu, and various branches of the Unites States Military. Todd subsequently started Chromaco, Inc. a digital image management and demand-based printing service that pioneered a proprietary scanning and color management system. In four years Todd built Chromaco into the leading fine-art image management and printing firm in the Hawaiian Islands.




Eric Carlson

Eric Carlson is a Partner with Distributed Energy Partners, where he works closely with commercial clients interested in renewable energy products to offset their energy costs. Eric leads the sales team, providing his deep knowledge of the solar industry and extensive experience to support the team, while also guiding clients through financing, design and installation of renewable energy systems. Eric also oversees the company's community relations efforts within Hawaii.

Prior to joining Distributed Energy Partners, Eric was a Commercial and Residential Project Consultant for Hawaii’s largest solar design/build energy firm. Here he earned the distinction as the top producing commercial sales agent in 2008, where he oversaw the development and implementation of both commercial photovoltaic and residential solar systems.  Eric holds more than a decade of experience in the Hawaii construction industry as a journeyman carpenter for a local general contractor and as an estimator/project consultant in the commercial sector for projects ranging from $1 million to $4 million dollars.  Eric also is active member in various local building and environmental organizations, including BOMA and USGBC.
